Error Codes

Meanings, severity levels, safe checks you can perform, and when to call a technician.

Enter the code shown on your ranges display

Is it safe to keep using it?

Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.

Can error codes be reset?

Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.

When should I stop using it?

Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
F0 Display communication fault Low The control panel display shows F0, dashes, or goes blank on power-up, indicating a communication failure between the display module and the E.R.C. View F1-E0 Control board fault High The electronic range control (E.R.C.) displays F1-E0 continuously or flashes it at startup, sometimes accompanied by a continuous beep. View F1-E1 Keypad fault Medium The code appears when the E.R.C. detects that a keypad key is stuck in the closed position or is returning a signal outside the expected resistance range. View F2-E0 Oven temperature runaway High The code appears mid-cycle when the oven cavity temperature exceeds the upper safety threshold, typically above 590°F (310°C). View F3-E0 Oven RTD sensor open circuit Medium The code appears shortly after a bake or broil cycle begins, typically within the first few minutes of preheat. View F3-E1 Oven sensor out-of-range Medium The code appears when the RTD sensor returns a resistance value outside the E.R.C. acceptance window, which can occur at any point in the heating cycle. View F4 Cooling fan fault Medium The code appears when the E.R.C. detects that the electronics box has reached its thermal protection threshold due to insufficient cooling airflow. View F5-E0 Door lock switch fault Medium The code appears when the E.R.C. cannot receive a confirmed-locked signal from the door lock switch after the latch motor has run. View F5-E1 Door open switch fault Low The code appears when the E.R.C. receives a door-open signal from the door position switch while the oven is in a bake or broil cycle with the door physically closed. View F6 Gas igniter / valve fault High The E.R.C. detects that the oven gas burner has not ignited within the trial-for-ignition period and displays F6 as a safety fault. View F7 Gas valve stuck open High The E.R.C. detects that the oven burner is still alight (via the flame sensor or RTD temperature rise) after the gas valve was commanded to close. View F8 Self-clean cycle fault Medium The code appears mid-cycle when the oven cavity temperature either fails to reach the minimum self-clean threshold or exceeds the maximum safe limit. View F9 Door latch / self-clean fault High The code appears when the latch motor fails to drive the door lock to the fully closed or fully open position within the expected time. View
