Hazard
A water inlet valve in affected DishDrawer models can fail to close completely, allowing water to leak onto electrical components beneath the unit. This creates a risk of flooding, electric shock, and fire.
Affected Models
DD24STI6 and DD24DSTI6 integrated DishDrawer units manufactured between March 2012 and October 2013. Check the model and serial label on the inner right wall of the upper drawer.
Units Affected
Approximately 12,500 units distributed across the United States and Canada.
What to Do
- Turn off the water supply valve beneath the sink immediately.
- Discontinue use of the dishwasher until the valve has been replaced.
- Contact Fisher & Paykel to arrange a free replacement of the water inlet valve by an authorized technician.
- Check beneath the unit for any signs of existing water damage before restarting.
